In Fisher on Sui, Fisher NFTs represent the core labor force of the game economy. These soulbound digital workers can be deployed to docks to undertake fishing missions of varying durations, generating $FISH tokens based on their efficiency. Designed as Soulbound Tokens (SBTs), each fisher is permanently bound to the wallet that owns it and cannot be transferred, sold, or traded.

This non-transferable nature ensures that all game progression is tied directly to player activity and commitment, not speculation or wallet farming. Every fisher must be developed, upgraded, and deployed by the wallet that minted or purchased it, creating a strategic, progression-based experience.

Fisher NFTs are categorized into three rarity tiers: Common, Rare, and Epic. After the public launch, only Common fishers will remain mintable — and even then, only the base variant.

  • Rare and Epic fishers are exclusive to the Genesis phase and will never be minted again.

  • Common fishers are the only type available for future minting, purchasable with $FISH through the in-game marketplace.

All Fisher NFTs are implemented as Soulbound Tokens (SBTs):

  • Non-transferable: Cannot be sent to other wallets or sold.

  • Wallet-bound progression: Tied to a player’s identity.

  • Interaction-limited: Can only interact with the mission contract (for staking) and upgrade systems (for leveling).

This architecture:

  • Prevents speculative trading or multi-wallet abuse.

  • Encourages long-term commitment and personal progression.

  • Aligns game balance with effort, not capital.

Each fisher starts at Level 1 and can be upgraded to increase its hash rate — the unit of productivity used in mission calculations. Upgrading requires $FISH and can only be done when the fisher is not on an active mission.

The values in the table are based on $FISH mining data from the 24-hour task in epoch 0.

For Epics:

For Rares:

For Commons:

  • Leveling costs scale exponentially (e.g., x → 2x → 4x $FISH).

  • Each level permanently increases hash rate.

  • Fishers must not be deployed on missions during upgrades.

Every fisher:

  • Occupies 1 slot in a dock.

  • Contributes hash rate toward a dock’s maximum capacity.

  • Can only be assigned to one mission at a time.

  • Earns $FISH based on duration × hash rate.
